My Family

Thanks for stopping by and visiting my little space on the net!  I would love to pass on things that I’ve found helpful on our journey of faith, homeschooling, and natural living.

We live in a coastal town in beautiful New Zealand and wouldn’t want to be anywhere else at this time in our lives.  We love our nation and our people, and are excited for the purpose of God for this place.

My husband and I have a vision to raise children that will love the Lord and be great stewards of all that they have been entrusted with.  We are not perfect people and are not striving to be perfect.  Rather, we’re striving to have love be our ultimate goal, and expressing the love of Christ within us, wherever we find ourselves planted.

Over the last decade or so, I’ve become increasingly passionate about living in a way that stewards our bodies and our land with responsibility and with our future descendants in mind.  We are leaving an inheritance for them.

I believe that part of being a good steward is to live intentionally and purposefully. I would be glad to share in your journey with you, and pass on the things that have helped us as a family.

Please note, I would be glad if you found something on my blog that you would like to print off for your own use, such as the recipes.  You have permission to pin my graphics.  I do respectfully ask that you don’t alter my photo’s in any way.  Thanks!

I enjoyed reading your vision for your family and your evident heart for our Lord. I am a mother of four and we now have 11 grandchildren. I stayed home for many years and we lived on one income – God was so faithful. Our three married daughters are also full time homemakers and I am so thankful that our sons-in-law see their ministry in their homes as important. Our world needs the very things you are planting in your family. May God Bless you!

Hi Victoria! I just want to tell you I really love your blog! I know we have communicated a little already but I just want to let you know how much I have really enjoyed your blog. You seem to have a good balance in the way you live. I really appreciate that. Love your homeschool section. We also use MUS, Apologia, and we use a unit study approach to homeschooling. I have never used Sonlight but have used their book suggestions and purchased their books. I Love your book/audio/video suggestions for nutrition. I am going to have to check to see if I can borrow some from the library. I don’t know what GAPS is.
I have really enjoyed sitting here reading your posts. I have spent hours reading through. I look forward to getting to know you better via blog. Thank you for taking the time to write. I know it can be time consuming. I am very impressed! Yay! 🙂

Thanks so much for your encouragement Angie! This is just why I’m doing this blog – to share with others and build each other up in the way God would have us live/be. There isn’t one-size-fits-all but we can feed into each others journeys as we find the healthy and whole way for each of our families!
I’ve done a few posts on GAPS, which should give you some idea what it’s all about (also some links in there). But getting hold of the book would be the best thing to do if you want to dig a little further.
Be blessed massively today – from Victoria

    Victoria,
Thank you so much for visiting my blog! This is what I love about WordPress is I get to meet the most amazing people all over the World! I think if you and I could sit and have some tea, we’d have a lot in common! May God bless you abundantly as you minister to your children and your home each day to bring God’s glory into everything. Homeschooling is one of the toughest jobs I’ve done but by far the most rewarding!
    So glad our paths crossed!

Victoria, I love your worldview! I almost felt like I was sitting at a Bill Johnson or Randy Clark event—they speak with the same passion about bringing God’s kingdom to earth. Yeay! So exciting to find like-minded people…..and even more fun to find them on the other side of the world from me!

Today is Mother’s Day in the U.S. So happy Mother’s Day to you!!

Thanks Wren! We really enjoy the ministry that comes from Bethel. We’ve yet to hear Randy Clark though. 🙂
Blogging sure is a great way to meet many people around the world isn’t it? I’ve already bumped into some amazing people.
      Bless you heaps, from Victoria

New Zealand, wow! How fun to ‘meet’ someone there, my kids will get a kick out of this. My husband and his family are all from England and my son loves genealogy. Mission-minded kids, something I have been more aware of as our family has been more involved with Compassion Interernational over the last few years. I am off to explore your blog a little now, thank you for popping in!

I applaud the commitment you have made to train a new generation to proclaim the gospel. May God help you to shine as a bright light in your country.
New Zealand is one of those places I have always dreamed of seeing, but that is personal interest, service for my Lord comes first.
